About the client
J.P. Morgan Chase's Chase Private Client program gives top-tier clients access to benefits like free passes to museums and galleries. The program ran on physical cards.
A physical-card benefit program that was being abused and could not scale.
The physical passes for the Private Client program were easy to abuse and impossible to update once issued. Every change meant reissuing cards.
A digital wallet system built on Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Clients add a pass once from an email, and it updates automatically across iOS and Android in real time whenever the program changes. The system supports QR codes, barcodes, and NFC tap, with a content frontend for the team to push updates, and was architected for whitelabel resale across programs. It reached more than 680,000 pass holders across the US.
Results
680,000-plus pass holders on a system that updates in real time, eliminated the abuse and reissue problem of physical cards, and was built to extend to other programs.
